Can I add or remove players after I book?

Accepted Answer

Yes! In your booking confirmation email, you will find a green button towards the bottom that will allow you to modify your reservation. Keep in mind that you will only be able to modify your reservation until 7 days before your game time!

This will be a "Change" button, not an ADD or SUBTRACT button. So it will feel like you are booking the whole show again, but you're just changing what you have previously booked.

What's the deal with the waitlist?

If you see the “Wait List” when trying to book a time-slot it means either it has already booked by another group or is temporarily unavailable for one reason or another.  
You are welcome to join the wait list, but this does not guarantee that you will be granted the desired time slot. In the case that the time slot becomes available, you will receive an email or a phone call that the slot is available. Keep in mind that all groups on the wait list are notified at the same time, so it is first come, first serve.

Groups cancel for different reasons at different times, so some wait list calls may be made same day!

Can we pay at the door/individually?

No. 
You will need to book online and pay the deposit to secure the booking. 
The balance due will be charged to the card on file day-of if not settled in advance.
We cannot accept more than 2 forms of payment due to time constraints, so it is not possible to have individuals pay for themselves.

Can we arrive early?

We build prep time into the length of the booking, and our lobby is relatively small, so please arrive no more than 10 minutes before your scheduled start time.

GameOn! ATX provides in-person, live game show experiences. In our rooms, you’ll be smashing buzzers, spinning wheels, playing games and more with a live, energetic host! We’ve custom built our own game show sets to be as close to the real thing as possible.

What does it cost?

Our price is variable based on demand. Expect to pay $30.95-$40.45 per person.

For groups 37-44, expect to pay $1200-$1600 for the whole group.

There is a 3% booking fee for payment processing.

How does it work?

We split you into 2 (roughly) equally sized teams and then you face off against each other in a fun-packed hour of game show style games guided by our super awesome host! Just grab some friends, show up, and have fun!

Can we bring food and/or drinks?

6-14 PLAYER GAMES (1 hour): Drinks Only

Whether you’re in the GAMESHOW ROOM or GAMESHOW STAGE, games of 6-14 players are too short for us to permit food. Beverages of any kind are allowed (other than red wine)

15+ PLAYER GAMES (2 hours): Food & Drinks Allowed

Games of this size are always played in the GAMESHOW STAGE, and we welcome snacks that participants are comfortable eating in the audience seating (e.g. fruit tray, charcuterie board, pizza)

We do not sell any food or beverage on-site, nor do we provide plates/cups/napkins/cutlery/ice

What if we have more than 44 players?

Accepted Answer

Fire Code says we cannot have more than 44 players at a time. So there is no “Squeezing in a 45th” player option.

If you have more than 44 players, we can come to you with no player cap!

Do you have parking?

Yes, but parking can be limited as we do have neighbors. If your game is before 5pm on a weekday we only have 5 spaces available so please carpool or organize a ride share!

Are the puzzles different every time?

Yes! We are always coming up with new content so every experience will be different. Come back as many times as you like! We ask returning players to let us know the date/time they last visited (or the name of the person who booked your last event) so we can ensure you’re seeing fresh questions!

What's up with the different rooms?

Our small room is designed for between 6 and 14 people at a time, while our large room (aka Main Stage) can host up to 44 Players! The games are the same in each room, though the way we play them changes depending on your group’s size.

Are there any age restrictions?

Our games are designed for adults, but can be enjoyed by anyone preteen and older. Children under the age of 10 are not allowed on-site.
Parents are responsible for their children and will be held responsible for damages done by their children.

How long does it last?

6-14 Players: The game lasts for an hour, but you should expect to be at GameOn! for ~90 minutes from entry to exit.

15-44 Players: The game lasts for about an hour and a half, but the total event will be for 2 hours.

Tell me about the content ratings

Think of them just like movie ratings!

PG - Designed for both children (10+) and grandma! Nothing remotely offensive.

PG-13 - Just like you would see on TV. Designed for teens/adults, but is safe for HR!

R - Here we start broaching topics such as alcohol, drugs, and crime in general. Be prepared to hear/say curse words!

X - Extremely adult themes, like R but with sexual jokes and content. Be prepared to hear/say curse words!

Is there a deposit?

Yes — every booking includes a deposit.
The amount of your deposit depends on your selected group size and is based on the minimum number of players for that booking type. Here's how it works:
6–14 Player Events:Minimum charge for 6 players
15–44 Player Events:Minimum charge for 15 players
These minimums are your deposit and become non-refundable within 7 days of your event.

Can I cancel or reschedule my booking?

We get it — plans change. Here's how cancellations and reschedules work:
⏰Cancel 7+ days in advance:

Full refund, including your deposit.

⛔ Cancel within 7 days up to 48 hours in Advance:

The deposit (minimum player price) becomes non-refundable, but can be converted to credit for a future booking.

❌ Cancellations Made Within 48 Hours:

No refunds or credits are issued.

♻️ Rescheduling within 7 days up to 48 hours in Advance:

$75 rescheduling fee applies.

⚠️ Examples:
Booked for Tuesday the 8th? Canceling on or after Tuesday the 1st is within 7 days.
If you booked for 20 players in ATX (minimum 15), and cancel 3 days before your event, you’re eligible to be refunded for 5 players. The value of 15 players becomes a credit for a future booking.

Are there any prizes?

No prizes are included, but seeing your teams picture with our trophy on our winners wall is the best prize of all!

There are also trophies available for purchase in the lobby!

Question 20

What about the trophy?

At the end of the game, the winning team gets to take a photo with our trophy to go on the winner’s wall. Unfortunately, they are expensive to make, so it isn't intended to be a take-home prize. If someone from your group takes the trophy home, you will be charged the cost of a new one ($250).

We know Austin is a very pet friendly city, but our games are very loud and stimulating, so please leave yor pets at home. Service animals are allowed, but please call ahead and let us know if you’re planning on bringing one.
